Travel the world without leaving the city at Carassauga, May 27-29

Carassauga Festival of Cultures is now celebrating its 31st anniversary. Proudly the largest multicultural festival in Ontario, this year's event takes place May 27th, 28th and 29th, 2016.

This year, Carassauga will host 28 Pavilions, representing 70 countries, located in various cultural and recreation centres within the City of Mississauga. From Africa to Latin America to Vietnam and several beautiful countries in between, there’s plenty to experience at this year’s event!  During the festival, weekend guests visit multiple Pavilions, presenting their entry passport at each location.

What is Carassauga?

Carassauga is a three-day multicultural festival held annually in Mississauga. It celebrates and promotes culture, cuisine, and entertainment from over 70 countries. At the Carassauga pavilions are dance performances, music, art, theatre, food vendors, marketplaces and much more. There were over 338,000 visits last year, so you know it's worth checking out!

When is Carassauga?

Festival dates for 2016 are May 27, 28, and 29.
May 27   7:30pm – 12:00am
May 28   1:00pm – 12:00am
May 29   1:00pm – 7:00pm

There will be opening ceremonies on Friday night at 7:30 on the Outdoor main stage at the Mississauga SportZone, north parking lot.

How much is admission to Carassauga?

You can buy your Carassauga passport, which gives you unlimited admission to all Carassauga pavilions, in advance for $10 up until 6 PM on May 27th, or for $12 at the door of any of the pavilions. Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult with a Carassauga passport.

Parking is free, and you can also ride MiWay for FREE with your Carassauga passport during festival hours.

Carassauga's 28 pavilions are located all over Mississauga, with 18 pavilions at the main Hershey Centre / Mississauga SportZone location. Below is a list of pavilions and locations:
