9 Sweet Reasons to Attend the 2023 Streetsville Bread & Honey Festival

The long-standing award-winning Streetsville Bread & Honey Festival returns for its 51st year this June 2nd through 4th. There’s plenty to see and experience this year during this community event and we’ve put together nine sweet reasons to go!
A quick touch on admission before we start the list:

Admission on Friday is $5.
Admission on Saturday & Sunday: Ages 5 and younger are free, ages 6 to 12 is $5, and ages 13 and up is $10.

The Beauty of Bees Exhibit
The Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) in partnership with the Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival present Mississauga visual artists’ visual works of flowers and the important contribution bees have on our ecosystem. Artworks will be displayed in this one day juried exhibit “The Beauty of Bees” on Sunday June 4th, 2023 at the Pollinator Garden beside the BIA building from 1:30PM -3:30PM.“The Beauty of Bees” exhibit aims to bring much needed attention to the preservation of our pollinating bee population.

Remembering Hazel McCallion
The Bread & Honey festivals pays tribute to Mississauga’s Hazel McCallion, who passed away earlier this year. Here’s the schedule:

9:30 AM Brianna Corona will start with a performance in the town square 
10:00 AM The Streetsville Pipes and Drums along with the Colour Party will march along Queen Street South from Tannery to the Town Square
The first 100 people in attendance will receive a free copy of Hazel’s book.

Friday Night Kick-Off
The Friday night kick-off this year will be hosted down at the park in the Beer Garden from 6:00 PM to 11 PM. On the Main stage that night we have: 

7:00 Jammers Waffle House
8:15 Bree Taylor
9:30 Blackboard Blues Band

Mystical Market
Luna Events Canada has partnered with the Bread and Honey Festival for a weekend of mystical fun!
This magical market features over 40 mystical vendors offering crystals, jewelry, sun catchers, enchanted candles, spell kits, pendulum & pendulum boards, wands, Tarot/Oracle cards, books, divination tools, holistic products, handmade products and much more!
Meet with mystical readers that will be offering Tarot/Oracle readings, Astrology readings, Spirit Mediumship, Past Life readings and have your AURA picture taken to learn all about what the colours in your Aura represent.

Fantastic Food
There’ll be over 25 unique food options to enjoy this year, including the signature item, bread and honey. 

Sauga Teens Got Talent
This year’s competition takes place at Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 and will feature 15 teenage singers performing in a juried competition with established jurors from the Mississauga music community, competing for prize money and courses from Metalworks Institute and Music Industry Experience Camp(s) at Mississauga’s Metalworks Studios.

Busy Bee Children's Attractions
Saturday & Sunday from 11 to 430, there’s numerous fun characters for the kids to enjoy and interact with! Check out the schedule above for details.

Children's Book Drive
Bread & Honey Gives Back at the Busy Bee Stage
Children book drive on the Busy Bee Island to help build libraries in poor villages in Guyana  www.littlelibrary.ca
Please bring books with you to the stage. Children’s books for ages 2 to 15
