Celebrate Visual Arts Mississauga's 40th anniversary

Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) at Riverwood is inviting the community to help celebrate its 40th Anniversary! VAM is pleased to welcome art enthusiasts to celebrate its milestone at the Opening Reception for its Annual Members’ Show & Sale on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The VAM Members’ Show & Sale will showcase the creative works over 100 artists including drawings and paintings featuring landscapes, abstracts, watercolours and more!
During the Opening Reception, VAM will announce the recipients of first, second and third place. These artists will receive a monetary prize. All are welcome to meet the artists and explore VAM’s bright and spacious studios located in the heart of Riverwood Park. Complementary refreshments will be provided by Whole Foods Market Square One.
Collectively, VAM member artist groups represent over 250 years of visual arts and creative energy in Mississauga. Groups such as the Clarkson Society of Artists (established in 1962), Mississauga Art Society (1964), White Oaks Group (1974), Mississauga Watercolour Society (1973) Peel Watercolour Artists (1996), Image Matix Printmakers (1980) and others have consistently inspired the artistic landscape of Mississauga and the world.

“It’s amazing to think that Visual Arts Mississauga is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year,” says Annis Campione-Karpenko, Executive Director. “We welcome guests to explore the vast array of talent expressed by VAM Members at our annual event. We are so honoured to showcase the talent of these groups and individual VAM member artists during the year and at the 2017 Annual Members’ Show & Sale,” says Executive Director, Annis  Campione-Karpenko.
