Fun Fall Farm Outings To Experience This Season

It’s that time of year where the hours grow shorter as the days go by.  The leaves are becoming crisp with hues of oranges, reds and yellows and of course, it’s a wonderful time to spend some time outdoors with family and friends bundled up with sweaters, scarves and pumpkin spice everything.
Part of this season change is heading out to various farms, pumpkin patches and apple orchards and enjoying all the fun activities that accompany them.
Here’s our list of places you should check out this autumn:

Britannia Farm Pinnacle Fall Fair
Britannia Farm, 5520 Hurontario St.

A Ferris wheel, hay rides, farmers market and wonderful food can be experienced here at the corner of Hurontario and Matheson on Sunday, October 1st from noon to 4 pm. 
The first one at this location in two decades means it's a must-experience event!


Downey's Farm
13682 Heart Lake Road, Caledon

PumpkinFest at Downey's is one of the most popular events that’s a must-visit this season.
Included are unlimited hay rides, live entertainment, farm animals, an 8-acre corn maze and much more.

Springridge Farm
7256 Bell School Line, Milton

Their Harvest Festival happens every weekend from September 23rd until October 29th from 10-4 and includes wagon rides to a giant corn trail, puppet shows,  slides, farm animals and plenty of other fun activities in addition to baked goods and perserves.

Dyments Pumpkin Farm
416 Fallsview Rd E, Dundas

A corn maze, animal farm, wagon rides and a barnyard play area are just a few of the fun activities you can engage in here. 
Open weekends in October, this is a wonderful way to experience autumn that’s close to Mississauga.

Andrew's Scenic Acres
9365 10th Sideroad, Halton Hills

Combining a farm, market and winery, Andrew’s has a wide appeal to all ages. They’ve got a “pick-your-own” option as well and with their 165 acres of fruit bearing land plus fun for the kids, it’s a great way to spend a day with family and friends. has additional information.


Chudleigh's Apple Farm

A popular destination, Chudleigh’s offers wagon rides, apple picking, pony rides, a children’s entertainment area, hay mazes and a ton more! has details on schedules and costs.

Hanes Corn Maze
1001 Hwy #5 West, Dundas

In addition to a 25 acre corn maze with 10 foot high walls of cornstalks, you can do navigate the maze day or night from 10am to 9pm.
You can pick your own pumpkins, experience a mini-maze and hang out with farm animals and much more.

Stonehaven Farms
7388 Guelph Line, R.R.#3, Campbellville

Pick your own pumpkins here, enjoy delicious goods from their on-site market, have fun with the little ones at the kids zone, have fun on a wagon ride and of course, find your way through the corn maze.

Lindley's Farm and Market
900 Fiddler's Green Road, Ancaster

Following the theme, there’s another corn maze to explore here, fun hayrides, farm animals, autumn harvest tours and more. Check out their on-site market for fresh, delicious goods as well.


Dixie Orchards
14309 Dixie Road, Caledon

In addition to their market that’s filled with wonderful treats, you can pick your own apples and pumpkins, enjoy a petting zoo and experience a corn maze.

Howells Family Pumpkin Farm

There is so much to do here that you just may end up going a few times.
Highlights include a pumpkin slingshot, scenic wagon ride, train rides, corn mazes, a haunted spook barn, animal farm, bucking cow ride and oh-so much more.

Albion Orchards
14800 Innis Lake Road, Caledon

Apple picking here is a wonderful experience (we’ve done it) and the pumpkin patch is covered in thousands of this seasonal fruit.
The Country Store has a wide variety of delicious autumn treats and Chatelaine magazine named them one of the top four orchards in Canada in 2013.

Carl Laidlaw Orchards

Wagon rides, apple picking, making apple pie, playing in the hay barn, visiting a quaint barn market and visiting the pumpkin patch are just a few of the many fun activities you can do here.
