Learn About Mississauga's Ward 1 Outdoor Christmas Market

Holiday magic comes to Mississauga's Ward 1 on Friday, November 21st and Saturday November 22nd through an exciting outdoor Christmas Market.

Hosted by Ward 1 Councillor, Stephen Dasko, friends and families will be greeted with an abundant, picturesque display of warm sparkling lights and decor, a 15-foot lit Christmas tree, a dazzling display of ice sculptures, live entertainment performances, including diverse cultures, a sold-out roster of 30 + vendors, warming stations, food and a winter wonderland outdoor cocktail and beer garden. “I envision this event as a European-inspired market that caters to people of all ages, accessible and family friendly,” says Dasko."

Your ears will enjoy the live entertainment provided by Mississauga's Carla Gonzales Latin Train, the NeoVoce Philharmonic Choir, Mississauga Chinese Arts Organization and more.

Already a ward that celebrates the arts, the Ward 1 Outdoor Christmas Market will feature ice sculptures, an ice carving demonstration, mural paintings, a hobbit house, a Snow Queen and more!

Come hungry as there'll be a BBQ, plus a beer garden featuring a specialty winter wonderland cocktail for those looking to responsibly partake in adult beverages.

To remember those who are no longer with us, there's a special "Memory Tree" where you can create and add a message to a loved one and in turn, receive a decoration for your own tree at home.

Speaking of Christmas trees, families will be able to purchase their own Christmas tree at the event.

Make sure your smartphone camera lens is clean because on Saturday the 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Santa will be there, ready for pictures galore! Many other selfie and picture opportunities are available, too.

During this cool community event, if you're able, please bring a non-perishable food item for the Compass Food Bank & Outreach Centre. They'll have a pickup truck on-site and filling it would help support community members in need this Holiday season.
On Friday and Saturday, Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko will be providing opening remarks and Norm Murray will emcee the festivities.
