Modern Motoring - 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Review

If you want to see my Mississauga-Ottawa-Mississauga on one tank of fuel covering nearly 850 km, our Instagram, Facebook and TikTok platforms have it!

For the first time, Hyundai's flagship SUV has a hybrid powertrain option.

The all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade hybrid runs off a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine churning out 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft. of torque through a six-speed automatic.

Yes, it has higher power figures than the gasoline version but the latter runs with a naturally aspirated V6, an eight-speed automatic and can tow 1,000 pounds more (5,000 vs 4,000 hybrid.)

Also, I've put on over 2,000 km on the gasoline trim a few weeks ago, and that drove exceptionally well, meaning customers will have a tough choice between these two.

The key difference is fuel consumption, where the hybrid is rated for significantly lower consumption to the distance of, in theory, nearly 250 km, or 155 miles.

Which one would you pick?
