1. What does your company provide/do?

Chocoelate specializes in premium, product-level chocolate customization. We design and manufacture custom chocolate molds and offer engraved and full colour printed chocolates featuring logos, messages, and unique designs directly on the chocolate. Our work supports corporate gifting, events, promotions, and personal celebrations, with a focus on quality, creativity, and fast, Canadian-made turnaround.

2. What inspired you to start your company?

I noticed a clear gap in the market for truly personalized chocolates. Most offerings focused on packaging rather than the chocolate itself. With my background in engineering, design, and manufacturing, I saw an opportunity to combine creativity and technology to create chocolates that communicate meaning and identity at the product level.

3. What's been the most impactful lesson you've learned being an entrepreneur?

Adaptability is key. Customer needs evolve, and assumptions don’t always hold. Staying open to feedback, testing ideas early, and refining continuously has been essential to building a resilient and sustainable business.

4. How do you unwind?

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, and exploring creative ideas. Stepping away from daily operations helps me recharge and return with fresh perspectives.

5. What succinct advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Start small, stay focused, and don’t wait for perfection. Listen to your customers, learn quickly from experience, and stay consistent — progress matters more than speed.

6. What are your goals for 2025?

In 2025, I aim to expand Chocoelate’s reach across Canada, grow our corporate and event-based client base, and strengthen our online presence. I also plan to continue enhancing our customization capabilities while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that define our brand.

7. How did the Mississauga Starter Company Plus program help you start or expand your business?

The Mississauga Starter Company Plus program provided valuable mentorship, structure, and strategic guidance at a critical growth stage. It helped refine our business plan, strengthen financial planning, and build confidence in scaling the business. Grant support enabled targeted investments in marketing, digital presence, and equipment, helping Chocoelate move forward with clarity and momentum.
