(SPONSORED BY WINERIES OF NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE)
With various holiday parties and events shared between family and friends this season, it's a safe bet that wine and cocktails will be part of the mix.
The good folks over at Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake have offered a couple of delicious wine options that go well with turkey and are easy to drink. They've also included a couple of cocktail recipes for you to responsibly indulge in (gotta still maintain responsibility when you drink, friends).
Their wine-savvy team recommends a Gamay and Kerner Nouveaux for holiday entertaining. They are the first wines of this year’s harvest released on the third Thursday of November as is the tradition around the world for Nouveau releases. Only a few weeks ago, this wine was a cluster of grapes in the vineyard but by rapid fermentation and quick bottling, all is ready at the midnight hour!
First up is a 2015 Gamay Nouveau from Reif Estate Winery:
Next up is a 2015 Kerner Nouveau, also from Reif Estate Winery:
