Morris Lum | Within

Morris Lum's Within is a photographic exhibition that is based around the interior of Chinese Churches within Mississauga. This event will take place at the Bradley Museum until August 30th, Wednesday-Sunday from noon to 4 pm and Thursdays from noon to 8 pm. The Bradley Museum is located on 1620 Orr Road, Mississauga. 

Fiesta Ng Kalayaan

Fiesta Ng Kalayaan is a cultural event that will be celebrating the Philippines. This family oriented event will take place on July 30 from 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm and July 31 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Celebration square. The function includes entertainment from well-known international and local performers, as well as, comedians, bands, dance troupes and much more. Enjoy the long weekend with this cultural and entertaining event. 

Visit a Conservation Park

Take advantage of all that Mississauga has to offer and visit a local conservation park. There are an ample number of places to see and enjoy including: J.C Saddington Park, Jack Darling Park, Meadowvale Conservation Area, and much more. Enjoy this civic holiday outdoors with family or friends, enjoying these locations free of charge. 

Sunset Concert Series

The Sunset Concert Series will take place in Port Credit Memorial Park. Enjoy an evening of live music from various artists and completely free of charge. The event will take place on July 31st, from 6:30 pm to sunset, making it a perfect way to enjoy the evening this long weekend. The artists set to perform at the Sunset Concert Series include the musical stylings of Justin Bacchus and The Windmill Singers. 

Bier Markt Live Music Series

Each Saturday night, the Bier Markt will host various artists that play the hits you know and want to hear. Bier Market is definitely an ideal location for live music every Saturday night including DJs and cover bands. Why not visit the Bier Markt this long weekend and enjoy a night of live music and entertainment?

Square One Shopping Centre will be open this Civic Holiday, August 1 2016, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Why not enjoy a day off this civic holiday and catch up or splurge on anything you've had your eye on? Other malls open in Mississauga include Erin Mills Town Centre (10am-6pm), and Dixie Value Mall (10am-6pm).

Rotary Movie Nights in the Park

Friday, July 29th, enjoy a night under the stars watching a fun flick with friends or family. It’s the perfect way to kick off the civic holiday long weekend. Movies generally run from 8:15pm to 10:30pm at Port Credit Memorial Park. This upcoming Friday, the featured movie is Star Wars: The Force Awakens

This Civic holiday, movie theatres will also remain open to the public. Why not come down and enjoy a movie at the cinema this long weekend and watch some of the new releases that just hit the theatre?

Port Credit Farmers' Market

The Port Credit Farmers' market is open every Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm including this upcoming weekend. This market is one of the best places to buy local produce directly from a local grower. Certain vendors also sell pastries, maple syrup, gourmet donuts, honey, and more! 
Along with the various vendors of fresh and locally grown foods and items, there are other things to enjoy and experience at the Port Credit Farmers Market.
Each Saturday morning, running at the same time as the market (8:00 am-1:00 pm), there are alternative events occurring alongside the market. This includes drop in crafts, perfect for young children to enjoy as well as gardening workshops. To top it off, there are also demonstrations, live music, and a new group of artisans each week!
