Make no mistake about it, Peel Region residents are amazing recyclers. To date, 50% of all waste generated is being kept out of landfill thanks to recycling.
That’s why it’s important to not waste your efforts by accidentally making a very common recycling mistake.
Please, please, please do not tie your recycling in plastic shopping bags. Your recyclables end up in landfill if you tie them in plastic shopping bags.
