Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - Can I setup an automatic withdrawal to pay my taxes?

Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about the pre-authorized tax payment plan at the City.

Can I setup an automatic withdrawal to pay my taxes?

Yes, you can apply online to pay your taxes directly from your bank account using the Pre-authorized Tax Payment (PTP) Plan. Through the plan, you have the choice to pay your taxes monthly or in instalments. Your taxes can start being withdrawn with 15 days’ notice, as long as your tax account is up to date and all prior taxes have been paid. If your taxes are paid by your mortgage company, notify them about joining the PTP Plan in advance.

To access your tax information online, use the online Manage Tax PIN  feature to get a Personal Identification Number (Tax PIN).  You will also need your Customer Number located in the upper-right corner of your City of Mississauga Tax Bill.
