Learn about the 2019 Art In The Park event at Visual Arts Mississauga

Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) at Riverwood welcomes art and nature lovers to its 29th annual Art in the Park event on Sunday, September 15, 2019. The popular art festival connects the community with Mississauga’s top artists and craftspeople with the goal of offering the city a unique shopping experience.

Art in the Park will feature over 45 artist vendors, arts activities, live entertainment and food in the beauty of Riverwood Park. Artists and artisans will show and sell their original works including paintings, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, clothing and more! Art in the Park will run from 10 am until 4 pm at Riverwood located at 4170 Riverwood Park Lane in Mississauga.

Art in the Park will feature live musical performances graciously sponsored by Dr. Rosanna Fasciani of Lorne Park Dental. Featured performers include Laura Fernandez (Jazz FM 91.1), Dakota Mill and Mississauga’s Brianna Corona.

FREE ART ACTIVITY! All are welcome to participate in our Community Tree Installation running from 12 pm to 3 pm. Visitors of all ages are invited to try their hand at printmaking. This activity will be guided by VAM’s professional Artist Instructors. Come by to make your own nature-inspired print using wooden printing blocks. This activity is proudly sponsored by DeSerres and Sam McDadi.

VAM is also pleased to showcase the talents of emerging youth artist Jasmine Cardenas at the Youth Art Installation sponsored by TD Bank. This program creates a platform for contemporary youth artists to share their work with the community in the historical MacEwan House. All are welcome to explore this interactive installation and meet the artist in person.

VAM also welcomes food trucks Little Havana Cafè and Vibes of Tehran.TO.

Art in the Park is free and parking is available at Riverwood Park, located at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe Rd W and The Credit Woodlands. Additional parking is available at the Erindale GO Station on Rathburn Rd. W. at Creditview Rd.
