Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - With property taxes being deferred, are you able to provide more details on what the new dates will be?

Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about property tax deferral due dates for residents.

With property taxes being deferred, are you able to provide more details on what the new dates will be?

Yes.
The City of Mississauga Council decided to defer the April, May and June 2020 interim property tax due dates by 90 days to help ease the economic impact of COVID-19.
This deferral is to help provide cash flow relief over the next few months.

Notices will be sent to all impacted taxpayers advising of the new due dates and other relevant information, beginning March 31.

For more information on how this affects your payment schedule, read the Interim Tax Payment Deferral Frequently Asked Questions at mississauga.ca/coronavirus.
