/With autumn upon us, there’s plenty to see and do in Mississauga.
Pick up a drink from your favourite indie coffee shop, put your most comfortable hoodie on and start falling for fall!
Whether you’re a local or planning to visit Mississauga, these are great starting points as you enjoy our city.
Farmers Markets

The two Lions Farmers Markets run until October 29th.
The 300 City Centre location is on Wednesday’s and the Robert Speck Parkway location is on Sunday’s, both from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There’s one at the Small Arms Inspection Building until October 26th on Sunday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, and Port Credit’s one wraps up on October 11th, and runs Saturday’s 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
Dixie & Eglinton’s Dining Scene

Forget Ridgeway Plaza; there are scores of great restaurants around Dixie and Eglinton. With cuisines from around the world, independently own spots and a few chain offerings, skip the crowds in the west and take your friends and family to feast in the east.
Paddle the Credit River
With the new non-motorized boat launch installed by Port Credit’s lighthouse, it’s easy to get on the water in a kayak, canoe or standup paddle board.
Enjoy the calm waters of the river as you paddle north toward the QEW bridge and enjoy the serenity of this famous waterway.
Live Music

From the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra to local bars to other venues across the city, there’s options aplenty to get your toes tappin’ and support local music.
Appreciate the Arts

Stop by some local art shows and you just might find your next favourite piece!
Arts on the Credit has a show on September 20th and 21st at the Small Arms Inspection Building and Visual Arts Mississauga has their Art in the Park event on September 13th at the Riverwood Conservancy.
The Lakeshore Art Trail event happens October 19th and 20th at the Small Arms Building and Celebration Square hosts the Arts of the Middle East Festival on September 26th and 27th.
Get Outside
In the north part of the city is a lesser known spot that’s worth of visiting. Walking and hiking routes are found here and it’s always good to be outdoors without the crowds.
Another underrated Mississauga gem is the Riverwood Conservancy, complete with plenty of walking and hiking paths, making it a picturesque place to soak in the fall colours.
In the south part of Mississauga lays Rattray Marsh Conservation Area with various trails, a shale beach and pedestrian boardwalks.
Eyes in the Sky

We’re fortunate to have Canada’s largest airport in our backyard and as such, watching airplanes land from around the world in various sizes is its own attraction.
With a few cool spots to park the car and observe from surrounding Pearson, keep an eye out for the colossal Etihad Airways Airbus A-380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft.
