With the upcoming 2026 Municipal elections happening on Monday, October 26th, Modern Mississauga Media has reached out to all candidates inviting them to answer the same questions so voters can familiarize themselves with them.

With the 2022 Mississauga election having a paltry 21.84% voter turnout, this series is to educate the community and hopefully increase voter turnout for 2026.
Low voter turnout means that the voices of a few make decisions for all.

Candidate’s were also asked to provide at least four images and their answers are unedited.

1. Why are you running for Ward 7 councillor?
I am running to serve people who have many issues nobody pays attention to and I know they are resolvable issues.

2. What makes you stand out over other candidates?
I ran last time and stood #3 when Dipika was running and I suspended my campaign as soon as she registered but didn’t withdraw my name for a reason. This time I was forced to run by my hundreds of supporters. I’m not going to make them unhappy this time, they’re working harder to make me their “ward 7 worker”, meaning councillor.

3. What are your key campaign priorities?
Campaign priority is simple, as how to convince people to vote because only 8,995 voted last time, that’s 22% of total votes.

4. What budget item is the most important for Mississauga?
Biggest ticket item is airtime locking.

5. What are your three favourite aspects of Mississauga?
Aspects, dual seat, non-partisan, and wider scale.

6. How will you be actively supporting our locally owned businesses if elected?
also own a business in the ward and I know corporate offices are leaving the city and of course I have a plan that’s not going to be public because my ideas are being stolen for example, “Tax-Freeze” was my slogan in the last election being used by a candidate at present. Following a chained lip policy, sorry.

7. What does Mississauga currently excel at?
Excel at making buildings after buildings for workers not for office blocks. I would change it.

8. How would you communicate with residents and what communication standards will you be setting and following?
I have an MBA degree and I am following what I have learned to connect with people.

9. How do you plan to actively involve and include residents in decisions?
I would have an open door policy.
