1. Why are you running for Ward 5 councillor?
I am running for Ward 5 Councillor because I care about our community and the people who live here. I humbly ask for your trust, your support and your vote for a stronger and brighter Ward 5.
2. What makes you stand out over other candidates?
I stand out by bringing a strong voice to our Ward—advocating for strength, unity, and diversity by listening directly to our residents, families, seniors, and youth. I am committed to working with excellence and integrity to deliver real results. Where systems are failing, I will work to redirect our focus toward new opportunities for safety and community growth.
3. What are your key campaign priorities?
1. Community Development Expand youth programs and senior services at local community centers to strengthen neighborhood bonds, support busy families, and build a more united community within Ward 5.
2. Infrastructure Improvement Upgrade municipal roads, repair potholes, enhance sidewalk connectivity, and install traffic-calming measures near school zones for safer pedestrian traffic and smoother commutes across the Ward.
3. A Conscious Plan for a Safer Community Promote neighborhood safety through active community watch programs, better street lighting, and proactive youth outreach that addresses root causes beyond relying solely on policing.
4. Supporting Business Expansion Cut municipal red tape and champion tax relief for small businesses, creating local jobs and driving economic growth across Malton and throughout the Ward 5 commercial corridors.
5. Environmental Sustainability Increase our neighborhood tree canopy to improve air quality, reduce industrial and traffic pollution, and build a greener, cleaner ecosystem throughout the community.
4. What budget item is the most important for Mississauga?
Ward 5 stands as the economic engine of Mississauga, home to our city's largest community and most diverse industrial base. My priority is to streamline municipal spending and redirect wasted resources toward tax relief for small businesses. By doing so, we will drive job creation, strengthen local enterprise, and build a safer, more prosperous Ward 5.
5. What are your three favourite aspects of Mississauga?
Mississauga is a proud reflection of Canada’s greatest strengths—our vibrant diversity, rich natural beauty, and endless economic potential. As our community grows, I am committed to preserving our beautiful local parks and green spaces while fostering sustainable economic growth. Together, we can build a safe, thriving Ward 5 that celebrates every culture and provides real opportunity for every resident.
6. How will you be actively supporting our locally owned businesses if elected? Delivering real change begins by placing the needs of our business community at the center of local decision-making. Ward 5 requires forward-looking leadership to build infrastructure and transit options that match our city's growing demands. My priority is to unlock our ward’s full potential by investing in modern transit, upgrading essential services, and creating an environment where local enterprises can thrive.
7. What does Mississauga currently excel at?
Mississauga thrives on its diversity, vibrant landscapes, and high standard of living. To preserve our city’s strength, we must protect essential services while investing in modern, efficient infrastructure. By expanding community leadership and educational outreach, we will build stronger support networks for our families, youth, and seniors across Ward 5.
8. How would you communicate with residents and what communication standards will you be setting and following?
Effective representation requires continuous dialogue. My approach to community engagement in Ward 5 relies on accessible outreach and data-driven listening. I will facilitate interactive town halls at local community facilities, keep households informed through regular mailings, and partner with local media outlets. Furthermore, I will implement ward-wide questionnaires and statistical feedback loops to ensure every resident and business owner has a direct voice in city planning.
9. How do you plan to actively involve and include residents in decisions?
My dedication to Ward 5 is absolute. I stand fully committed to working alongside our families, residents, and community leaders—serving as your direct voice to bring meaningful, lasting change for tomorrow.
