Now in its 18th year, the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and BBQ Festival is upon us this weekend in Port Credit! A mecca for music lovers, this event features the talents of many world-class musicians.

What is the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and BBQ Festival?

It’s a collection of talented musicians performing throughout Port Credit along Lakeshore, in restaurants/bars, and in Memorial Park. New this year is “Ribfest in the Park” where a few “ribbers” will set up shop to help create an authentic southern blues experience.

What can I expect at the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and BBQ Festival?

You can expect to experience Mississauga’s musical Mardi-Gras. With performers including Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues band, The Legendary Downchild Blues Band, and The Nomads with guest Sean Pinchin, there are over 50 artists who will converge in Port Credit to offer a memorable musical experience.

Where and when is the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and BBQ Festival?

This event takes place Friday, September 9th to Sunday, September 11th in Port Credit. Some notable events:

  • The Rabba Fine Foods Street Shuffle happening on Lakeshore from 2pm – 6pm on Saturday
  • The Blues and Roots jamstage happening at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 82, 35 Front Street North from 10pm to 3am
  • The ticketed mainstage in Memorial Park. You can find the full schedule here
  • Events at a host of different bars in the area

What’ll it cost to attend the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and BBQ Festival?

The Street Shuffle is free of charge, while the ticketed mainstage is $5.00 for Friday, $10.00 for Saturday, and $10 for Sunday. The three day gate admission pass is $20, saving you $5. The Blues and Roots Jamstage admission is $5.
For those looking for the full experience, there’s a cool Bourbon Street VIP Weekend pass for $65, which gets you access to the exclusive Bourbon Street VIP tents at stages 3 and 4 with excellent sightlines, covered seating (first come, first come serve), dedicated bar and washrooms.

That sounds great and all, but why should I go?

Music is a universal language and with so many talented musicians and artists gathering in Mississauga this weekend, it’s a great chance to experience live music, enjoy the last days of summer and spend some time outdoors.
We played the Shuffle in 2014 and had a blast as performers. We received plenty of feedback from patrons saying how they look forward to this event every year for the energy it creates and for the love of the music.
