6 apps to get and keep you healthy

It seems as though portions get bigger and bigger, it’s no wonder it’s so hard for people to lose weight.
Although it can be a little difficult at times, there are some solutions.
Personally, I found cutting back my calories and working out helped me achieve some short term weight goals.
And I know what you’re thinking, how are you supposed to keep track of every single thing you eat? That’s where technology comes in handy.

There are so many apps that allow you to input your food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. It calculates your calories for you and keeps you on record for the day.
Depending on your weight and how much you want to lose, the apps will give you a certain amount of calories to eat per day and will notify you when you’re going over your limit.
Some apps even send you reminders to add in what you ate throughout the day so you don’t forget and can maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I tried out multiple apps and these were my favourites:

MyFitnessPal

This app is reported as the #1 consumer rated diet. It has also been the number one health and fitness app for four years straight. It offers the biggest food database and barcode scanners – to simply scan your food when your eating it. It will then be added to your diary.

MyPlate Calorie Tracker

This comes with an eight week meal plan which is guaranteed to help you lose weight. This app is big on suggestions – it will tell you to try a certain snack or meal. It also gives you some ideas on meal recipes.

What I really liked about this app was that it really helped me avoid food cravings. I have this weird thing where I always want a big mac, but this app was able to get me away from that. It’s good because you can also use this app without data.

Calorie Mama

If you’re into simple and straight to the point- then Calorie Mama is for you. It’s one of the easiest calorie apps I have ever used. With this app, you can take a picture of your meal and it will give you the calories automatically.

Their description of the app is "Keep track of your food, exercise and weight, with access to the world's most accurate food and nutrition database and most supportive community which will help you lose weight fast."
Best of all, it's free.

I liked this app because you actually got to see the progress in which you were making. By this I mean if you lose weight, there would be a graph indicating you do so.

These apps are indicated to help you  stay on top of your crazy diets.
It can be difficult to lose weight but with the help of these programs, you’ll be fit in no time!
