Get ready for some catchy tunes filled with soulful vocals, great instrumental hooks, and memorable lyrics. Mississauga native Arlene Paculan is set for the worldwide release of her third album, Home with You, on June 22, 2018. The first single, “Over You” Feat. Nick Name was released May 18 and has already received tremendous positive feedback.
Arlene will be celebrating the release at the Rivoli (332 Queen Street West, Toronto) on Sunday, June 24th at 8pm. Her set will consist of new and old tunes and will be supported by a full band including Kevin Dvorak on guitar, Doug Norman on bass, and Zaynab Wilson on drums. Performing opening sets are singer-songwriters Zaynab Wilson and Mae Janelle. Both women have collaborated with Arlene in the past.
The album contains songs produced by fellow Mississauga residents, award-winning Nick Name, Kevin Dvorak, and Arlene herself. Co-owner and award-winning producer Mike Schlosser of Little Noise Records also appears as producer and mixer of several tracks.
As you listen to the record, you will come across upbeat tunes like “Over You” and “My Favourite” which will make you feel like it's summer everyday. “Best Kept Secret” will satisfy the souls of those longing to express love for someone special. “Home with You” will create a cinematic ambiance in your soul capped with a dramatic guitar solo. “He Got Me” will make you think of that crush that gets you going every time, and “Leave Me Alone” will hit the spot for anyone who appreciates the pain in any breakup ballad.
She has also included a bonus track which is her song “I’m Worth It” in Spanish.
Arlene has a mission to spread empowerment through art, especially through female artists. In addition to writing and performing original music, she runs an artist and event promotion company called Let's Make Good Productions with comedic singer-songwriter Kat Leonard.
