Mississauga hosts popular Canadian band "The Abrams" at the Living Arts Centre

It’s difficult for John and James Abrams to remember a time in their lives when they weren’t creating or playing music together. Surprisingly only in their 20’s, the Abrams Brothers have a hard-earned reputation for their craft, and have already garnered international recognition. John and James are known for their explosive and contagious energy on stage, which they’ve carefully honed with over 20 years of experience. Whether they are performing in a community hall in Texas, or a world music festival in Israel – the Abrams brothers do not disappoint.

In 2006, the band was awarded the coveted Daniel Pearl Memorial Violin award and recognized as ambassadors of peace in the Middle East through their music – all before they were old enough to drive! They’ve reached the Canadian Country Radio Top 40 and the U.S. Americana Radio Top 100 with their hits “Fine” and “Northern Redemption” respectively. And in 2017, they won “Roots Group of the Year” at the CMA Ontario Awards.

It’s safe to say that the Canadian brothers from Kingston, Ontario are making quite an impact. So much so in fact, they were signed by Warner Music Canada. Their first major-label debut EP was released after an intense, two-year period of writing and recording in collaboration with acclaimed Canadian country music producer, Gavin Brown. For a taste of their latest tunes, check out their newest EP, Reminder, released last month!

The Abrams continue their success this year with another headline tour of Canada, Israel, and the United Kingdom, but you can catch them this month at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga!
