Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - With the cold temperatures, what are some indoor activities the City offers?

Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.

Today’s question is about indoor activities.

With the cold temperatures, what are some indoor activities the City offers?

The City of Mississauga has a variety of indoor activities you can do this winter.

Recreation:

If you’re looking for something active, you can go skating indoors, swimming or take fitness classes.

Library:

If you’re interested in learning, you can visit your local Mississauga Library location for a variety of programs and events for all ages. Be creative and explore new technologies at one of three Makerspaces. Borrow items and download/steam eBooks, eAudioBooks, newspapers, magazines, music and videos.

Culture:

If you’re interested in theatre, catch local productions of Mary Poppins and Sister Act at Meadowvale Theatre this winter. For a full list of shows, visit culture.mississauga.ca/meadowvale-theatre.

Mississauga is also home to three heritage-house museums that offer events and activities both indoor and out. Maple Magic returns to the Bradley Museum daily March 9 to17. Check out culture.mississauga.ca/museums for more info.
