Learn about the new Mississauga Food Venture Program supporting local restaurants
/The Mississauga Business Enterprise Centre in the Economic Development Office will be hosting a 6-day workshop for struggling restauranteurs looking to create a new source of revenue.
The Restaurant Pivot to CPG program is a FREE boot camp designed for 20 (twenty) qualified Mississauga-based restaurant or food business owners looking for direction in turning a recipe into a consumer packaged good (CPG).
This program is taught by food experts including professors from the University of Guelph and George Brown College. The workshop includes; sustainable food production, food science, guidelines for food packaging and labelling, sales, brand identity, social media and finance.
Who this Program is for:
This boot camp is for you if you are a Mississauga-based restaurant or food business owner looking for direction turning your recipe into a consumer packaged goods.
Program Topics:
This 6-day workshop will cover everything you need to turn your favourite recipe into a product ready to hit the shelves. This includes; sustainable food production, food science, guidelines for food packaging and labelling, sales, brand identity, social media and finance.
Program Delivery:
This is a live workshop held completely online via Zoom. Each class is 2.5 hours in length and will run Monday to Wednesday November 23-December 2 from 1:00PM-3:30 PM.
The program runs from November 23-December 2nd.
The classes involve live question and answer periods as well as direct interaction between the cohort of entrepreneurs and the speakers.
