Learn about the "Night Of Lights" Holiday drive through experience

As this Christmas season is far from traditional, there have been creative ways to drive forward the Holiday spirit and drive through experiences are increasing in popularity.
Our Modern Mom, Kathryn Dickson, along with her two children, Miss M and Z Man, experienced the new “Night Of Lights” attraction and here’s their take on it.

Having crossed off the Canadian Tire Holiday Trail from my list with the kids, Night of Lights was next up on Sunday, December 6th.
We were fully prepared for it.
We weren’t quite prepared to come and wait, however.

Our ticket was for 8:30 pm and we arrived at the road entrance at 8:15 pm.
We didn't get to the part where they scan your ticket to enter the actual attraction until 8:58 pm. The environmentalist in me is in a panic about all the exhaust fumes from the hundreds of cars that we encountered and were in line with.

The entire drive through to the end lasted approximately 30 minutes. You continually moved, albeit it at a snail's pace, through the sights and sounds. There was no stop and go.

Miss M says: "It was fun and festive. A great way to experience the hype of Christmas without getting close to other people."

Z Man says: "It was really good and I loved it. The flower wall that we drove through at the beginning was my favourite part."

The magic of Christmas in the lights is awesome. Try to not see the IKEA, Dave and Buster's and Boston Pizza signage through it though as once you fixate on it, that's all you see. Definitely exciting for the kids, especially Santa's elves in the Toy Factory. Liked the dedicated radio station playing festive music as opposed to having to download a podcast and play from your phone/device.

If you make it all the way to the end, there's a special guest there to wish the kids a very Merry Christmas!
