Alana Cosentino and Brittany Decaire are business partners, running a boutique Pilates studio, Stacked Pilates and Dance, in the heart of Mississauga. As a client myself, I can attest to the happiness felt in this particular space. The fitness expertise is unmatched, but what makes this studio particularly special is the feeling of warmth from all staff and clients.
Every Christmas season Stacked Pilates seeks out a family from the community to help. This incredible team of 8 women make it their goal to raise a remarkable sum of money for their chosen family. To do this, Stacked hosts a festive morning at the studio with 100% of the proceeds going to the family in need. There are festive fitness and Pilates classes, refreshments, and an exciting raffle (including Leafs/Raptors tickets!)
The benefit morning is one where clients’ put aside their own busy lives and come in to take part in an event to support a family in crisis. All the instructors give freely of their time, and the whole event truly depicts what this season is about. Over the past 7 years Alana and Brittany have brought people together to raise $28K for families in need.
This year Stacked Pilates is aiming to raise $5K to assist a local family whose daughter was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The 8th Annual benefit is taking place Saturday, December 15th from 8:30am–12:30pm.
In a time where there only seems like you read upsetting news, an event like this reminds you that there is so much good in the world, and happily, right here in our community.
