Mississauga VegFest is our city's inaugural Vegan food festival, happening on May 12th, 2018 at Port Credit Memorial Arena.
This exciting festival celebrates the wonderful world of vegan food, cool vendors and plenty of activities for families and folks of any age.
Dubbed as Mississauga's first ever Vegan lifestyle expo, there will be over 60 vendors showcasing the GTHA’s finest veg-based food, drink, clothing & accessories, products, advocate groups and children’s activities.
VegFest is the place for everyone from foodies, animal and earth lovers, to the health-conscious. Whether you just want to eat mouth-watering food or want to save the world, all are welcome to explore the life of animal-free alternatives to benefit humans, animals and the environment.
With that, here are six great reasons to head over to Port Credit's Memorial Arena and check out all the excitment for yourself:
Over 70 amazing vendors and exhibitors. Including delicious vegan food, inspiring sanctuaries & rescues, eco- and animal-conscious clothing and body care products and everything in between.
The festival aims to engage our community by providing a supportive space where people can learn about a vegan lifestyle, discover products from local vendors, interact with like-minded individuals, and be inspired by the spirit of a festival dedicated to a lifestyle without using animal products.
They have an incredible line up of workshops in their KidSanctuary. The schedule includes zumba, crafts, stories, a cooking workshop, a dance party and a kids concert. The KidSanctuary will be a safe, inviting space for families to come do crafts, colour, participate in workshops and engage with local businesses that run kids camps and programs.
Vegfest is a wonderful and ideal place to sample a wide variety of vegan dishes, from appetizers to desserts. There's everything from dumplings to doughnuts and from burgers to ice cream. There will be a wide variety of delicious food inside the arena and outside at the food truck area.
Marvel at beautiful works of art at The Little Sprouts Art Show! They will be showcasing art with the theme of favourite animals and/or favourite fruits and veggies. Kids from Kindergarten to grade 2 in local schools will be displaying their artwork throughout the venue.
They invite the veg-curious to learn about different products, services and organizations in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Exhibitors are eager to share with vendors what they do and why they do it. Come learn about the vegan lifestyle with an open mind and an open heart!
