Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.

Today’s question is about the upcoming Mississauga Central Library renovation.

With the Central Library closing soon for renovations, where can I borrow items in the meantime?

Mississauga’s Central Library will close to the public on March 20, 2021 for a two-year renovation project. Construction will begin in April 2021 and the library will reopen in 2023.

While the library is closed, contactless pickup, along with a small collection, will be relocated to the Living Arts Centre. Additional collections will be available across the other 17 library locations

In addition, Mississauga Library offers a wide range of online resources that includes programs for all ages, books, ebooks and audiobooks, as well as newspapers. movies and TV shows. Visit mississaugalibrary.ca for details.
