The ultimate battle for the coveted Culinary Showdown Trophy just got a lot happier. This year, Epilepsy South Central Ontario has partnered with The Happy Box to raise awareness and funds with a special Culinary Showdown box. The limited-edition Culinary Showdown-themed box will feature small batch spice mixes, kitchen essentials, and even some celebrity chef-recommended must-haves from small businesses across Canada. As well, 50% of the profits from each Culinary Showdown-themed Happy Box will benefit Epilepsy South Ontario and support small businesses that have experienced unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic.

“This is an extremely exciting partnership that has come out of a very difficult time. We’re happy to have found a creative way for people to support Epilepsy SCO and so many small businesses impacted by COVID-19 at the same time” said Sana Virji, co-founder of The Happy Box. “We are proud to announce that 50% of the profits of this limited edition box will benefit the vital work of  Epilepsy SCO.”

The Culinary Showdown box is themed after our most exciting fundraising event where a stellar lineup of five celebrity chefs will once again join their fundraising teams on stage for the epic culinary battle on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Airport and Conference Centre. Each team will be coached and led by one of the Celebrity Showdown’s participating chefs. Confirmed to date are Chefs Claudio Aprile, Lynn Crawford and Massimo Capra. Once again, the event’s host is John O’Hurley, who brings his comedic talent and quick wit to the stage.

“The excitement continues to build for the 2nd annual Culinary Showdown,” comments Cynthia Milburn, CEO Epilepsy SCO. “The awareness and funds generated from this event will allow Epilepsy SCO to continue to provide vital access to families and individuals whose lives rely on our services. Having these iconic chefs, fundraisers, sponsors and partners join us is an honour.”

Epilepsy SCO invites everyone to order the Culinary Showdown Happy Box that will be delivered directly to their door and help raise funds and awareness for Epilepsy SCO. We also encourage supporters to register for the upcoming Culinary Showdown event, gather their friends, family and colleagues and help Epilepsy reach their fundraising goal.
