Mississauga's Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues Festival returns to Memorial Park for 2021

The Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues Festival (The Festival) is pleased to announce that the festival will be returning to Memorial Park in September. 

‘It’s been difficult to plan when you don’t know the rules. We know our fans have been anxiously waiting’, said Kristine Kane, Chair of the Southside Shuffle Board of Directors. ‘Our goal is to safely bring the joy of live music back to the Port Credit Community and bring awareness to Port Credit and Mississauga as a tourist destination. This year our focus is on musicians from Ontario and Quebec.’ 
Impressively, the positive economic impact to local businesses is over 7 million dollars.

The Festival is always a cause for celebration amongst music lovers around the world. It earned a MARTY in 2018 for “Mississauga’s Best Festival” and in 2020, was recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the top 100 festivals and in 2021, received an Achievement Award for their virtual festival,  viewed by over 25,000 globally.

Although masks, social distancing requirements and capacity limits will be in place, the festival will safely host two stages.
The south stage is free with seating for 120 in the beer tent and room in front of the stage for people bringing lawn chairs/blankets.

The ticketed stage in the north end will have limited general admission tickets on the grass (500 due to capacity limits)  as well a limited number of tickets (120) for the reserved Bourbon Street tent. There will also be 3 food trucks at both stages.

With very short notice to reopen, they could not safely plan for the vendor village.  

Tickets will be available through Eventbrite and a limited number though Impressionable Gifts (cash only.)
Weekend general admission passes are $35 and a single day ticket is $15.  Weekend passes for Bourbon Street are $80 and $30 for a single day pass.

Enjoy many of the much Street Shuffle bands at the south end of the park, along with plenty of live entertainment in many local establishments.
On Sunday September 12th at 11:00 am, take in the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony. 

Chuck Jackson, Artist Director and founder, credits the “great” Board members, a dedicated crew of over 300 volunteers, sponsors, the City of Mississauga, Port Credit BIA, Port Credit Community Foundation and the various levels of government (Heritage Canada, Ontario Creates & Ontario Trillium Foundation) which provide funding.

Since launching in 1999, The Festival has drawn hundreds of thousands of people and set new standards for excellence and growth, earning wides spread, well-deserved accolades.
