A Superb, Simple and Succulent Air Fryer Chicken Wing Recipe

Presented in partnership with Hamilton Beach.

Don’t let your favourite wing place know you’ve read and used this recipe for easy, delicious and mouthwatering chicken wings.

This simple and succulent air fryer chicken wing recipe proves that if I can make better-than-restaurant style wings, anyone can. To me, these are the best air fryer chicken wings. Am I biased? Maybe.

I like my wings crispy on the outside but if that’s not your style, skip the garlic, onion and paprika.

With a 10 minute prep time and 20 minute cook time, put that air fryer to work and enjoy the wings, err, fruits of your minimal labour.

Ingredients (adjust measurements to taste)

One pound of split chicken wings
One tablespoon of garlic powder
One tablespoon of onion powder
One tablespoon of paprika
One pinch of pepper
One pinch of salt
Optional: carrots and celery

Directions

1. Lay your wings on two layers of paper towels and pat dry so you get a nice crispy skin
2. Put the wings in a bowl and thoroughly mix in your seasonings so they’re evenly coated
3. Place the chicken wings in your air fryer basket and ensure they’re not touching
4. Place the basket in the air fryer and set it to 400 Fahrenheit for 10 minutes
5. Flip your wings and cook for another 10 minutes at 400 Fahrenheit; 12 minutes for extra crispy skin

Pro tip: Put parchment paper at the bottom of the air fryer basket for easier clean up
Pro tip 2: You don’t have to put oil/cooking spray at the bottom of the basket for this recipe as there’s plenty of natural oil created by the wings.

In between steps 4 and 5, I cut up my celery and took a shortcut by using baby carrots instead of peeling and cutting full size carrots.

Since wing sauce is so subjective, I left it out of this recipe.
If anyone cares, I put a tablespoon of melted butter and a half cup of Frank’s in a dipping bowl if I feel like Buffalo-style wings.

Once the wings are on your plate, you’ve now got a marvellous meal to enjoy as you read some of the interactive digital magazines and some of the thousands of articles on the Modern Mississauga website.

Lastly, I used the Hamilton Beach Digital Hot Air Fryer with Nonstick Basket 35075C as it’s versatile, easy to use and clean and consistently gives me fantastic food.
